Franklyn Schaefer is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, arranger and composer born and raised in Germany. Franklyn's instrumental guitar arrangements span a wide spectrum from contemporary Renaissance to pop rock. His songs are a mix of country, gospel and blues and speak of important issues in his life and beliefs.

Schaefer portrays similar lyrical issues as those of Alan Jackson and Phil Vassar but expresses them uniquely—both musically and vocally. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1990. Franklyn is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and worked as an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church.
